Single device that can collect energy from sun and outer space simultaneously.

Courtesy:Linda Cicero, Stanford News Stanford scientists has demonstrated for the first time that heat from the sun and coldness from outer space can be collected simultaneously. The above image shows the apparatus,a double-layered rooftop panel. The top layer uses the standard semiconductor materials that go into energy-harvesting solar cells, the novel materials on the bottom layer perform the cooling task. Keplar spacecraft retired!

Courtesy: NASA/JPL-Caltech/UCLA/MPS/DLR/IDA Keplar, the space observatory by NASA, launched in 2009 to discover Earth-Sized planets orbiting other stars is no more. NASA retired this revolutionary telescope on 30th,October,2018 as it ran out of fuel. Some data related to the telescope given below. Courtesy: NASA

Smallest optical gyroscope in the world!

The new optical gyroscope -- shown here with grains of rice. Courtesy: Ali Hajimiri/Caltech A Group of researchers from California institute of Technology led by Ali Hazimiri, developed a gyroscope that is 500 times smaller than the current one. This tiny one uses a new technique called "Reciprocal Sensitivity Enhancement" developed by the group.

New material that stores sun's heat energy to generate electricity more efficiently!

A recent development would make electricity generation from the sun's heat more efficient, by using ceramic-metal plates for heat transfer at higher temperatures and at elevated pressures. Courtesy: Purdue University illustration/Raymond Hassan. A team at Purdue University developed a new composite material which are being used to make a concentrated plant to store sun's heat energy to generate electricity more efficiently. The video below demonstrates the process briefly.

Connect an Ethernet (LAN) cable to your mobile!

TP-Link Ethernet Network adapter. Courtesy:  Amazon.in orTP-Link If you want to connect an ethernet cable to your smartphone or if your computer's ethernet port is not working, here is the solution.USB Ethernet adapter. Just plug in this to your mobile with an OTG cable and you are good to go. Some smartphone hardware do not support USB Ethernet connection (There is a video below showing how it works) . And for your PC, Install the driver that comes with the device in a disc>plug in your device to the USB port of your PC and you are done! Purchase Link: Amazon.in: Click Here

Just look at this Robot!

Atlas from Boston Dynamics. Courtesy: Boston Dynamics "Atlas" the robot from Boston Dynamics shook the robotic industry recently with it's new feature. Now ATLAS can do Parkour! People now starts believing that it will definitely win the first Robot Ninja Warrior! The above video shows some actions of ATLAS.

3D printed cells!

This image of cells that were made fluorescent shows how they are printed in complex structures for the purpose of producing tissue such as tendons and ligaments. Courtesy: Robby Bowels,University of Utah College of Engineering A group of biomedical researchers from University of Utah developed a process of 3D- printing of cells to produce tissues(ligaments and tendons).A person suffering from damaged/ruptured ligament or tendons now can be treated with these 3- dimensional printed tissues.
