Fabric embedded with actuators and sensors makes this robotic skin,which is also known as Omniskin.Yale roboticist Rebecca Kramer-Bottiglio and her team developed this robotic skin. Here is a video demonstrating the action:

Single device that can collect energy from sun and outer space simultaneously.

The above image shows the apparatus,a double-layered rooftop panel.The top layer uses the standard semiconductor materials that go into energy-harvesting solar cells, the novel materials on the bottom layer perform the cooling task.
